There is too much magic in the world for my taste…
I saw a vision of my mother, fighting off something while Pol swept me away as a baby. At least I know what I always believed, that she did not want to leave me. It was in a ruined castle near a place called Vash. I will find this place. I need to know what happened to my mother.
My employer William is a strange individual. He is a magic user (this is what Viktor believes) but seems very odd. Now his niece Theodoria is just a shrew fishwife. But I need the money and William does seem kind. My other companion Constantine is also a wizard. Just my luck to be surrounded with all these spellcasters.
We travelled to Sancrist Isle for something William was after and came upon an attack at the whitestone. We managed to escape but I don’t really understand what is going on. Constantine may do, he seems most normal out of all of them, and certainly knows more than he says. I ended up giving him those magical glasses William gave me. Every time I used them I felt uncomfortable. I’ll stick with magical weapons and armour thankyou! But we did notice that William has something evil and powerful in a chest. He says he needs to keep it safe, but I don’t know.
I did manage to see some knights back at the inn, and that was exciting. Also there was a party of dwarves, and drinking and singing with them made me feel the most peace I have felt since leaving Southgate. They also were able to tell me some tales on famous knights, especially one of my favourites Lord Quinn Goldenscale. So not only did I get to see him in battle at the whitestone but I learnt a bit about him. The dwarves suggested I should visit the great libraries – and that I should probably visit the one in Korval and see what I can find there. I’ll add that is my list. I still want to get to Palanthus as I was told I might find information about grandfather there. (this was back story knowledge)
We are now searching for some sort of flower to give to another wizard so we can leave this island. I have been told it is dangerous, but right now I would welcome flesh and blood danger, something I can solve with my maul. I’ll say it again, there is too much magic in the world for my taste!
